SEDP Members Development Services organized 9 medical missions in Albay, Camarines Sur, and Sorsogon area in 4 months’ time (June-September 2016) with the help of the SEDP Branches, partners and volunteers.

The Medical Missions were held at St. John the Baptist Parish, Camalig Albay (June 17, 2016), San Roque, Sorsogon (June 20, 2016), Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, Balatan, Camarines Sur (July 1, 2016), St. James the Apostle Parish, Libmanan, Camarines Sur( July 15, 2016), St. Paul The Apostle Parish, Buhi, Camarines Sur (August 5, 2016),  Our Lady of Assumption Parish, Canaman, Camarines Sur (August 19, 2016), Our Lady of Salvation Parish, Joroan, Tiwi Albay (September 2, 2016), and in St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, Manito, Albay (September 16, 2016)

Counting almost 4, 000 SEDP Members with their beneficiaries and parishioners were given free medical services during the medical mission. This includes: tooth extraction, eye screening and free reading glasses, massage and reflexology, minor surgery (in Libmanan) medical check-up and free medicines. There was also a soup kitchen for the waiting patients during the mission.

Medical Mission or most familiarly called as Simbag Salud is one of the Value Added Services given by SEDP Simbag sa Pag-Asenso Inc. to its members throughout the year in the areas which the service is most needed.

According to SEDP MDS, there will be 7 more medical missions they are going to facilitate before 2016 ends.
