3 Medical Missions given to the members of Daraga, Albay and Badian, Oas ALbay and Allen, Northern Samar for March 2016

A whole day medical mission held in the grounds of Our Lady of the Gate Parish, Daraga, Albay served almost 1000 SEDP members and parishioners covering the lowlands of Daraga.
“This medical mission is only for the members and parishioners from lowland places of Daraga, Albay from Brgy. Malabog up to Brgy. Tagas including Daraga proper.” Agnes Bayna Branch Manager of SEDP Daraga Branch said.
“The upland places of Daraga like Anislag, and the relocation sites like Budiao has also a scheduled medical mission this April 2016 exclusively for them.” Agnes Bayna added.
The medical mission offered free medical check-up tooth extraction, eye screening, massage, and soup kitchen to the patients.
Aside of the usual services offered during medical missions, the SEDP Daraga Branch staff distributed medical forms to be filled out of information regarding the health status of the members upon availing the free medical check-up during the medical mission. These records will be kept by the SEDP MDS to monitor the health of the members.
“This health profile is a tool for us to monitor the health status of the members. With these records, we can help the members with their medical needs by means of referring them to our partner hospitals and clinics.” Amparo Binamira SEDP Members’ Development Services Unit Officer said.
“Health profiling of the members was pioneered in Pioduran Branch last year 2015.” Mrs. Binamira added.
On the other hand, almost 300 SEDP members and parishioners were also given free medical services during the medical mission held in the Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Parish, Badian, Oas Albay (March 22, 2016) that was facilitated with the help of SEDP Pioduran Branch Staff.
Same services were given to the 400 SEDP members and 50 parishioners of St. John the Greater Parish, Allen, Northern Samar (March 11, 2016) with the help of SEDP Catarman Branch Staff.
The medical missions were still successful because of the support of the SEDP mission partners: Dios Mabalos Po Foundation, Servants of Jesus, Albay Provincial Health Office, Northern Samar Provincial Health Office, Local Government Units, and with help of private doctors and volunteers.
