Personnel were in great joy when Senator Bam Aquino visited SEDP Main Office at The Chancery Building, Cathedral Compound, Albay District, Legazpi City last June 1, 2018, Friday.

The senator’s visit is a courtesy to SEDP’s President and CEO and at the same time President of the Microfinance Council of the Philippines Incorporated, Rev. Fr. Jovic Lobrigo.

Part of the said stopover was a little discussion about the good effects of Microfinance NGO’s Act.

It can be recalled that Senator Aquino co-authored Republic Act No. 10693 or the Microfinance NGOs Act that recognizes the important role of non-government organizations (NGOs) like SEDP who engaged in microfinance operations for the poor in fostering local enterprise development and social entrepreneurship.
