Members of SEDP Simbag sa Pag-asenso, Inc., (A Microfinance NGO) attend the Lenten Recollection in St. James the Greater Parish, Libon, Albay last March 23, 2019, Saturday.

Seven hundred twenty-nine members (729) from Libon 1 branch and one hundred sixty-eight members (168) from Libon 2 attended the said activity which was organized by the said parish, with the guidance of Rev. Fr. Joseph Longasa.

Said recollection gave reflections about Lent’s symbols like the Ash, Olive, Kiss, Cross, and Tomb, Love Lopez, Libon 1 branch manager said. To prepare members’ souls and mind for the proper celebration of Lent is the foremost objective of the event.

Lenten Recollections are part of SEDP’s Spiritual Formation Services that are being facilitated not only for the members but also for scholars and staff. Such activities are being scheduled this month of March in SEDP’s areas of operations.

The observation of Lent this year began last March 6, Ash Wednesday.
