SEDP Simbag sa Pag-asenso Incorporated (A Microfinance NGO) joined the celebration of MF NGO Act 3rd Anniversary last November 10, 2018, Saturday.

Held in SEDCen Training Hall, Landco Business Park, Legazpi City, the celebration was facilitated by the Bicol Microfinance Council, Inc. and Microfinance Council of the Philippines Incorporated.

Said occasion was attended by representatives from different Microfinance Institutions in the province of Albay together with some of their clients who shared experiences and inspiring stories brought by their memberships.

A press conference was also facilitated during the celebration wherein, panelists from MFIs also discussed the advantages effected by the said act not only to their sector but also to the clients.

The same event was also celebrated simultaneously in parts of Manila, Cebu, Iloilo, Bacolod, and Mindanao, Fr. Jovic Lobrigo, Chairperson of Microfinance Council of the Philippines said.

Microfinance NGO Act or Republic Act 10693 was signed into law by our former president Benigno Aquino last November 3, 2015.
