Sharing the good news, another office of SEDP microfinance    “simbag sa pag-asenso”, located at the parish compound of Our Lady of the Pillar, Pilar, Sorsogon, was blessed at March, 8, 2016, Tuesday at 4:00 pm.

The day was indeed a blessing because  the holy mass was officiated by two bishops; Bishop Arturo M. Bastes of the Diocese of Sorsogon and Bishop Joel Z. Baylon of the Diocese of Legazpi together with the priests from Sorsogon ( 3) and priest  from Legazpi no other than the CEO/President of SEDP, Fr. Jose Victor E. Lobrigo.   Significant guests like the municipal Mayor and bank manager from rural bank of Pilar happily graced the occasion.  The center chiefs were present along with selected members.    Some officers from the SEDP main office also witnessed the occasion.

Bishop Bastes was very jubilant and so excited that SEDP is now finally at their diocese.  He was very thankful for SEDP, with special mention to the efforts of what he says “the Man from Pilar, Fr. Jovic Lobrigo who is in the diocese of Legazpi”,   that brought this opportunity to help the poor in the municipality.

Bishop Joel Baylon says that on this year we observe the “Year of Mercy” and merciful like the Father,   let our sisters and brothers feel the love of our Father by extending our hands and sharing the good news through our good deeds.

As of this writing, there were about two thousand clients already enjoying the benefits and services of SEDP microfinance.   Pilar branch is run by 9 personnel under the supervision of Elenor Gravito, Area Manager assisted by Noel Bayna,branch Manager.
