The Happiest Mother in the World

Concepcion Longgasa, a member of SEDP, joined 30 years ago when the program was still part of the Social Action Center. Initially rice farmers, she and her husband diversified into vegetable and fruit farming, and chicken raising, enabling them to build their home and purchase land, overcoming challenges with perseverance.
Despite her youthful aspiration to become a nun, she embraced family life and saw two of her six children through college, one becoming a BS Accountancy graduate. Their journey underscores a deep trust in God's plan, as evidenced by her daughter's unexpected transition to becoming a nun and her son's pursuit of priesthood.
Through financial hardships, they remained steadfast, trusting in divine providence, supported by SEDP's assistance in education and personal development. Concepcion remains dedicated to her faith, actively participating in religious activities.
For her, joining SEDP was more than seeking loans; it deepened her faith and sense of community. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she cherishes her children's vocations, considering herself the happiest mother, feeling fulfilled in her life's mission.
